This event was a first for me, and I found it to be a unique experience in Southern California. I was pleasantly surprised by the non-traditional nature of the rodeo, which focused more on the pure sport rather than the honkeytonk atmosphere I was expecting. The bulls and riders put on some impressive runs, although one rider did have a rough time. The efficiency of getting runs out of the chutes was commendable. The host clowns kept the crowd entertained between rides, adding to the overall entertainment value. It was refreshing to see a diverse audience, not just cowboys. The ticket fares were quite reasonable, especially when compared to other sporting events.
My only complaint is that I had less than ideal seats, so it might be worth splurging for better views. Luckily, I had binoculars which helped enhance my experience.
